RIP

Love ya, McCloud.

PS--This Dennis Weaver link has been added for the chillrens who have no awareness of the 1970s. Sigh.

PPS--not that I am into the whole celebrity deathwatch thing, but that's two in as many days. Who's number three?

So true - #3 happened a few days ago - Darren McGavin. He was the dad in my all time favorite Christmas movie - "A Christmas Story". Remember? He was so excited to win the lamp with legs...He also played TV private eye Mike Hammer.

K-

you're right--will add Darren to my RIP list.

Hmmm--three marginally famous TV/B-actors bite it in short order--could it one of the signs of the impending apocalypse???? A message from the Dude of Bigness? A warning related to reality schlock ala: Dancing with the Stars?

I still love Duel - one of the great existential thrillers of all time. May Dennis in all of us always survive the desert of the demented.

I don't even know who that is

Dear, sweet, YOUNG grace, the recently departed pictured here is Dennis Weaver.

He played a cowboy/cop/detective on a TV series in the seventies called "McCloud."

Jeebus, do I feel OLD.

Speaking of feeling old, I teach a class at a local college and several of the 20-somethings had no idea who Walter Cronkite is. This is just too sad. And did I mention that they are journalism students? Lawdy, Miss Scarlet.
